We are in the building of a former railway station, right on the cycle path that follows its old trackbed. Hard to find a more natural place to catch your breath, pump up a tyre or start the trip altogether.

We are finishing preparations to launch the rental. On offer will be electric and classic bikes, for a few hours or for a whole day on the Route around the Tatras.

Quick repair point

A loose bolt or a soft tyre can ruin the whole day. Some of these things you can fix at our table, between the soup and the coffee.

Basics

Pump

A soft tyre after a few dozen kilometres is standard. Pump it up here and ride on, without looking for a bike shop in Nowy Targ.

Adjustment

Spanners and small fixes

Tightening, raising the saddle, adjusting a brake. Things that take five minutes when you have the tools.

Break

A stop for the bike

Racks by the terrace, tables with a view of the trail and a playground for the kids. A stop you will genuinely want to extend.

Kolejowa 30 in Czarny Dunajec, directly on the Route around the Tatras cycle path. By bike you ride right up to the terrace, by car to the car park next door.

The trail runs here along the old trackbed of the 1904 railway line. On the way you pass old station buildings, bridges and mileposts.

Questions about bikes

Where can I rent a bike in Czarny Dunajec?

At Stacja soon: electric and classic bikes, by the hour and for the whole day. Until we open, the nearest rentals are at the old station in Podczerwone, 6 km towards the border, and in Nowy Targ.

Is there a bike service by the path?

A quick repair point at Stacja: spanners and a pump, so pumping up a tyre, tightening bolts, adjusting the saddle and the brakes. We do not stock parts and we are not a workshop. Bike shops and services are in Nowy Targ.

When does the rental open and what bikes will there be?

Can I leave my bike during lunch?

Yes. The racks stand by the terrace, in sight from your table. There is no locked bike storage, but your bike stays in view the whole time.

Where can I park the car and get on the bike?

There is parking at Stacja and a park and ride by the school complex on Jana Pawła II street 144. From either you are on the path within seconds.

Where can I ride from Stacja?

Towards the border: 6 km to Podczerwone with its restored station and bridge, 9 km to the border and on to Trstená. Towards Nowy Targ: 11 km along the embankment. For a short loop: an 8 km circuit through the peat bogs starting at the park and ride. The whole route is described on a separate page.
